Traders Island is a Logarithmic Perpetual Futures Protocol & Decentralized Derivatives Exchange with leveraged exposure to real-world assets like stocks, commodities, forex, indices, other then crypto, and reduced liquidation risk with longer exposure periods thanks to the novel logarithmic payments distribution function.
As Perpetual Futures is the dominant financial instrument in DeFi with continued growth in 2023,
on-chain exposure to traditional non-crypto assets remains largely unavailable and the risk associated keeps futures trading to the realm of sophisticated investments. We solve this with oracle integrations and plus a novel implementation of the Funding Payment function that lowers liquidation risk by close to 20% and increases exposure times and an Insurance Fund that covers drastic price fluctuations.
Built by the Web3 Island Makers community of Web3 professionals, with no VCs or corporations involved, this is a community bootstrapped and driven project and we are seeking a grant to fund initial operations.
We already have a working demo on Avalanche testnet and a seasoned and dedicated development and marketing team that has been driving this product for the last few months. We are looking to launch in Q2/Q3 2023 and preferably with a Grant to help us offset bootstrap and marketing costs, in the amount of 150,000 USD.

Problem
As Perpetual Futures have become a dominant financial instrument in crypto assets,

The Community Grants Committee may request additional information. Lack of response or cooperation during this process may result in the Draft Proposal failing to proceed through the process and be included in the snapshot vote.
